We founded Sparkbox because saw an opportunity to improve retail optimisation technology & the way it’s delivered.
Alex started his career at IBM and has spent 8 years in management consulting working mainly on large scale supply chain and digital transformation projects for tier one global retailers. Alex’s experience in pricing optimisation includes leading the design, delivery, and implementation of a bespoke markdown price optimisation solution for an omni-channel retailer in the UK. Prior to founding Sparkbox, Alex worked with a large number of retailers during his career, including Tesco, B&Q, IKEA, Arcadia Group, Saks Fifth Avenue, TJX Group, John Lewis, Shop Direct Group, N Brown Group, and Burberry.
Alex holds a BA (Hons) in Management Studies from The University of Nottingham, UK.
Matthew is a mathematician and he codes in multiple languages. He began his career with an engineering firm and has been consulting with a focus on retail price optimisation for the past 3 years. His development experience includes designing & building 4 bespoke markdown and promotions price optimisation solutions which are currently in use by 9 high street and digital brands. Prior to founding Sparkbox, Matthew worked with retailers including Shop Direct Group, N Brown Group, Arcadia Group, Superdry, and House of Fraser.
Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Actuarial Science from The University of Manchester, UK.
Kevin has spent over 20 years working in retail and consumer businesses on data, insights, forecasting and analytics projects, both strategic and operational. Kevin was a Senior Executive at Accenture, responsible for retail data and analytics projects and solutions, and Vice President of Insights at Best Buy, responsible for analytics and insights across Best Buy's international businesses. Kevin's experience in price optimisation includes the design, delivery and implementation of markdown price optimisation, promotions price optimisation, and competitive pricing analytics across a variety of retailers in fashion, grocery, health and beauty, and consumer electronics. Prior to founding Sparkbox, Kevin worked with over 25 retailers over his career, large and small, including, Arcadia Group, Best Buy, Boots, Carrefour, Clarks, Dixons Carphone, Esprit, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Metro, N Brown Group, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Walgreens, and WH Smith.
Kevin holds a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from The University of Essex, UK.
Lindsay began her retail career in merchandising as a planner/ assistant buyer/ allocator for the American department store Target. She supported Target’s expansion to Canada as part of a team that launched 134 new stores & three distribution centres in less than a year. Lindsay has been consulting in the UK with a focus on retail price optimisation for 3 years. Her pricing experience has included leading the design, delivery, and implementation of bespoke price optimisation solutions and various pricing insight and strategy engagements. Prior to founding Sparkbox, Lindsay worked with retailers including Shop Direct Group, Arcadia Group, Superdry, & House of Fraser.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
